Ken Lamoureux’s career has spanned over 35 years in the Information Technology industry, including 18 years in financial services. His diversity of experience has included work in the private sector, public sector and for charitable organizations. Previous management positions held include: Associate Manager, Systems Architecture and Planning at Great-West Life Assurance Company; Executive Director, Strategic Services in Business Transformation and Technology for the Province of Manitoba; and Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Manitoba Lotteries Corporation. Through many roles and projects, Ken has made significant contributions in the financial services sector, always with a view of finding innovative ways to apply technology to meet customer and business needs.
Ken has certifications and accreditations in the area of Corporate Governance and Information Systems & Technology Governance. Certifications and accreditations include: Accredited Canadian Credit Union Director from Dalhousie University/Credit Union Institute of Canada; certification in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology from ISACA; and Information Systems Professional (I.S.P.) and Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) designations from the Canadian Information Processing Society.
Ken has been active on Boards and in the volunteer sector. In addition to his work on Cambrian’s Board and committees, other Board level experience has included: member of the Nominating Committee for the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, Saint-Boniface General Hospital (Vice Chair and member of the Finance and Audit Committee), United Way of Winnipeg (Campaign Cabinet and Board of Trustees), and professional associations.
Ken and his wife Linda reside just north of Winnipeg, and have two adult sons.
