Cambrian Employees Rally in Support of United Way Winnipeg

Winnipeg, MB, November 20, 2020 - With its 2020 United Way campaign now complete, Cambrian Credit Union is pleased to share that this year surpassed all previous campaigns, both with employee giving and its participation rate.

Through its employee giving campaign, Cambrian staff committed $95,456 and with its corporate 1:1 match, that gift becomes $190,912. Additionally, Cambrian made a separate donation of $10,000 to the United Way earlier this year in support of COVID-19 relief and held a number of fundraiser activities with all monies raised going to the United Way, making the total donation well over $200,000.

Community involvement is a deeply held value at Cambrian,” said David Mortimer, Cambrian President and CEO. “We have a 60-year history standing alongside our members and serving our community in both the good times and the difficult times. Today, our community needs Cambrian’s support more than ever and our employees took on that challenge by raising more money than we have ever contributed to a United Way campaign. That is an amazing accomplishment.”    

Cambrian has been a long-time supporter of the United Way because of their shared commitment to bettering the lives of those living in Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
